外交部、衛福部疾病管制署昨（9）日晚間宣布，將南韓黃色旅遊警示燈號、疫情建議「第二級：警示（Alert）」範圍，從首都首爾擴大至南韓全境。外交部、疾管署建議，國人若非醫療需要，應避免進出南韓境內的醫療院所。

疾管署昨召開「傳染病醫療網指揮官會議、MERS應變小組會議」，會中討論後決定拉高南韓的旅遊疫情建議，原僅將首爾列為第2級，首爾以外的南韓地區列為「第1級：注意（Watch）」等級，現決定將南韓全境列為第2級，疾管署說，病例定義將配合一併修正。

疾管署說明，由於南韓第三波疫情持續延燒，且有多家南韓境內醫院出現確定病例，雖然尚未出現社區感染，但考量南韓境內的MERS病例數量在國際上僅次於沙烏地阿拉伯，故決定再次拉高旅遊疫情建議等級，目前該疫情建議等級高於世界衛生組織（WHO）、美國、新加坡等，僅低於香港及澳門。

而香港政務司長林鄭月娥昨（9）日宣佈，對韓國發出紅色旅遊警示，香港旅遊業亦同意，即日起至本月30日所有的韓國觀光團，全部取消。

香港信報報導，香港保安局昨天12時正式向韓國發出紅色旅遊警示，建議市民如非必要，應避免前赴韓國；身在當地的香港民眾，應盡量避免到訪當地的醫療機構。

儘管此舉衝擊到香港旅遊業，但香港旅遊業議會總幹事董耀中表示，經與各旅行社開會後，同意取消除郵輪團以外，至月底前所有的韓國旅行團。而暫停韓國旅行團將會影響1萬至1.2萬名旅客。

根據韓聯社報導，韓國新增8例MERS確診病例，新增1例死亡病例。目前韓國確診的MERS患者增至95人，死亡人數增至7人。
